Inspiration, Wedding Venues and Our Weddings

A Spanish Castle Wedding

A trip back to almost 1 year ago for the Wedding of Hilary and Kieren  in Malaga! We helped bring to life their dream of a wedding in Spain. Just 1 of the 3 Weddings they had across the globe!!

We first met Hilary and Kieren on warm Autumn day in 2016. Our first port of call was a Malaga Wedding Venue and from here we visited Wedding Venues along the Costa del sol and on to the Costa de la Luz. After lunch in Jerez (an amazing lunch at one of our secret favourite places to take clients), our day ended with Coffee in Vejer de la Frontera with views across to the Sierra de Cadiz. We always try to guess which weddign Venues the clients will go for and in truth this time we got it completely wrong! When they confirmed a Castle in Malaga we were shocked but delighted to as its a Wedding Venue that we love and know works really well. Great food, efficient and great service and do die for  views of the sea!!

So from confirming one of our favourite Venues on to their wedding planning. Our first step is always to confirm key suppliers, those that get booked up early. We understand that in the UK or the US you have endless quality suppliers available to you, but here in Spain the community to serve an English speaking audience is much smaller so we have to work quickly and efficiently. We have spent the past, almost 5 years vetting and qualifying wedding vendors to work out the quality, reliability, who are the long stayers! After all you don’t want to book a Vendor who then moves back to the UK! One of the benefits of being so involved with the wedding community here, is that we are able to share knowledge between us and therefore if there are any problems with any vendors we are informed by our colleagues right away, we can share experiences and recommended to each other suppliers that are amazing and well worth booking!

So, Key suppliers all booked we then start to organise the couples next Spain Visit. To avoid you having to spend all of your wedding Budget visiting us multiple times, we always recommend 2 visits in total. One for Venue search and one for Menu Tasting, Hair and Make up trial, meeting the wedding celebrant etc… Most of the wedding co-ordination is done over email and you will meet most people such as Photographers, Videographers, DJ’s on email, if you require a Video call then that can be arranged but it isn’t always necessary. One of the main benefits of hiring a wedding planner is that you can reply on us to do all of the leg work, all communication, booking of the suppliers, wedding day briefing etc..

From this stage onward we start to finalise all wedding details, work with you on Designing your wedding day and finally arriving at your wedding day fully prepared and ready to create the best day of your lives!!

Here’s what Hilary and Kieren had to say about us:

You know you have picked the best wedding planner when friends and family ask how you’ve appeared so calm throughout the planning of the wedding and on the day… Well let me tell you about the Boutique Wedding Co.

When looking for a wedding planner, you hope for quality service, a good network, and knowledge. With the Boutique Wedding Co. they surpassed every expectation and more. Their level of service has been unparalleled, they listened intently to our vision and used their inherently creative dispositions and passion to really ensure every detail was thoroughly thought through. Our wedding was beautiful.

Their network of contacts was so impressive, we were never left wanting for choices. Even when asking for something a little random and left-field, the Boutique Wedding Co. have done it before and have exactly the right contact in mind. Our guests are still talking about how special our catering and music was!

As local experts in Spain, they know exactly what needs to be considered and by when. When it comes to accommodation, organising pre-wedding dinners and transport their expertise made this a seamless and stress-free process.

The Boutique Wedding Co. were excellent, an embodiment of a professional and personal service. To truly understand this, let me share a small exert of our day:

It was an August morning in Spain and we had planned an almost entirely outdoors event. Despite over a decade of scorching hot sun during this month of the year; as we peeled back the curtains – nothing but cloudy skies were in sight. A quick message from Lucy read: “Happy wedding morning! Looking forward to the wonderful day ahead!” – not a mention of the grim skyline. What I didn’t know at the time was that Lucy and Jesus were furiously brainstorming back-up plans should the threatening sky unleash. As the morning turned to afternoon, the weather had not improved. Whilst my bridesmaids and I were busy getting ready, Lucy had already racked up 10,000 steps on her fitness tracker and had been navigating the army of vendors that had arrived – sorting various pieces out whilst keeping everything undercover. All the while, keeping me calm and ensuring that the day was going to be great. The rain continued. When Lucy had to broach the subject of the weather – she did so with grace and reassurance – not any easy conversation to have with clients. We had decided to keep it outside. Once we had made that decision, not once did Lucy try to talk us out of it or make us feel nervous. She was soothing and comforting. As it happened, shortly after we made the decision to stay outside, the rain stopped. Whilst the weather was calm, my nerves were not. As I became increasingly nervous – Lucy was there on hand reassuring me. Whilst this would usually be the role of the bridesmaids or mother of the bride, Lucy was truly the expert – without her, I wouldn’t have had any mascara left on. Needless to say the rest of the day was a success, truly a testament to the Boutique Wedding Co. – Thank you so much for creating the most memorable day of our lives.

Thank you to Eloy and Aleks for the Beautiful Images!

Wedding in the Mountains of Malaga

Balder and Elise had dreamed of getting married in Spain, and after a great adventure from coast to coast, and mountain to beach, they finally decided to do it in the Mountains of Malaga!

Our Malaga Mountain Resort offered them everything they were looking for. Amazing landscape views, pure mountain air, as well as an exclusive hotel to welcome all their friends and family for partying and enjoying without disturbances of the outside world. And all that with style, comfort and authenticity. The wedding was fantastic. Everyone was so relax and integrated in the overall theme of the wedding, which is usually what happens when everyone sleep at the same place for a couple of nights.

The wedding day ran smoothly for everyone. After welcoming everyone to the ceremony with a lemonade glass, we were witnesses of a private and very personal ritual, where their family had a important role. Afterwards drinks and canapes to accompany all the excitement of the moment. Dinner was relaxed and magical. Everyone felt as being part of a fairy tale.  After enjoying a nice meal from typical Andalusian cuisine, came the time for the surprises. Friends shows with dance, singing and plenty of laugh. From that moment on, the wedding exploded into a party and old and young joined in with passion and joy.

Our job was done! Our couple, Elise and Balder had enjoyed every little bit of it and you could tell without doubt based on their big smiles. Another happy wedding with The Boutique Wedding Co.

Thank you Mirera Cordomi for the Fabulous photographs!

What Elise and Balder had to say !

Lucy and Jesus helped us to plan and organize our wedding this past September, and we really couldn’t recommend them enough. The day exceeded our expectations on so many fronts, and we couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out. Lucy did a fantastic job in terms of capturing the look and feel that we were going for, and they both made sure that every last detail was taken care. On the day of, they quietly ran around and made sure that everything went according to plan (without anyone noticing), which allowed us to genuinely relax and enjoy our day with our friends and family and not worry about anything. We really did have the most amazing day!

Wedding in Sevilla

Patricia and Kc’s wedding in Seville was a truly international wedding with family members and friends travelling from all across the globe. From the United States to the Philippines and everywhere in between! This sweet and loving couple enjoyed a wedding day full of some many wildly different elements. Staying at the Hotel Alfonso Xiii in Seville they had a luxurious prep day, relaxing in the refines of this beautiful luxury hotel. At 4 pm they were whizzed away to their Catholic Church Ceremony, which featured a number of Philippino Catholic traditions. From Seville City Centre the whole wedding party were transported south to the magical Hacienda, a traditional, authentic, rustic Hacienda close to Seville.

It was mid October and by the time they arrived at the Hacienda the Sun was starting to set, this was the first moment they had ever seen the Hacienda and thankfully they loved it! They enjoyed their cocktail as the sun went down, basking in the warmth of this Autumn evening and enjoying the beautiful facade and maze of rooms that makes up this mystically beautiful Hacienda.  As night fell we moved through to dinner, a 2 level garden adorned with lots of beautiful trees sparkle with lanterns and fairy lights, the hundreds of candles and lights we had put in place, started to come to life and it looked like a scene from A midsummer’s nights dream!

Dinner was a delicious feast of Spanish fare (chosen by us for our bride and groom), with fun games and belly laugh speeches the evening party moved on and for teh first time ever, we got to experience Philippino line dancing! So much fun!!

Thanks to Mireia Cordomi for the lovely images and everlasting memories!

Dear Lucy and Jesus,

We wanted to wish you all the best in this coming year and thank you again for your help with our wedding. Though we are a bit removed from the big day, we wanted to take the time to really express our gratitude. From our first Skype call, you eased our worries about long distance planning and gave us confidence. You immediately showed a vested interest in us, who we were, and the kind of wedding we wanted. Because of this, our wedding truly reflected us and exceeded what we envisioned. Thank you for the months of planning and fitting our busy schedules into your even busier ones. Thank you for helping make our big day as special and as memorable as it was. We could not have done it without you both. We wish you the best of luck in your weddings this year, though we are sure you won’t need it.

All the best Tricia and KC

A Mismatched Magical Vibe

For our last wedding of 2017 we had the most fabulous time planning Helen and Joe’s dream wedding day at Hacienda Los Angeles, near to Seville. There vision was to create a mismatched magical vibe and I can positively say, together we brought this dream to life and rocked it till 5am! What a supremely cool wedding day this super lovely couple created!! It was a real high to end the year and we felt truly privileged to have been a part of it!

Getting Married in Spain is all about the overall experience…not just that one day, its about the buzz and happiness of sharing your wedding weekend with you nearest and dearest family and friends away from home, so you can create something even more unique and special. We have selected an edit of Helen and Joe’s fabulous wedding images shot by the amamzing Matt Porteous form Studio M at Hacienda Los Angeles near to Seville. These images tell the story perfectly. Andalusian Cortijo Wedding

Elle and Adam Chose to marry in a magical Andalusian Cortijo near to Arcos. Their wedding was intimate, personal, sentimental and fun! Late September makes for a beautiful time to get married here in Spain, temperatures have dropped a little but its still warm enough to enjoy some pool time! Thank you to Keisy and Rocky for the fabulous photos and Flowers from Flores La Boheme.

Elle and Adams beautiful rustic and organic Andalusian Cortijo Wedding was a pleasure to work on an create! As with all of our clients, we helped Elle and Adam to find their dream wedding Venue. They chose Cortijo Arcos, a favourite for us and a venue we have been working with for 4 years now. When they first saw the venue they were completely blown away by the orange and olive groves, stunning Andalusian courtyards and the huge swimming pool. The owner of Fain loves animals, it is certainly a huge part of the charm of the wedding venue. Meeting the mini piglets was probably what sealed it for them as well as the delicious canapes we had the opportunity to try on our venue tour!!

The whole look of their wedding day was created with an organic feel. We wanted to keep everything looking very natural and fuss free. Tons of fresh eucalyptus and Olive, mixed with delicate white flowers weaved between. Plenty of fairy lights, candles and overhead festoons bought the dinner to life.

From the Bride and Groom:

Lucy and Jesus from The Boutique Wedding Co organised our wedding at Fain Viejo in September 2017. Having them both there to plan, organise and look after all of the tiny details took the pressure off us so much and allowed us to be able to focus on having a great time with our guests. We’ve had so many people commenting to us that it was the most beautiful, fun and smoothly organised wedding they have ever been too – we have Lucy and Jesus to thank so much for that! It was great to see all of the details come to together and we were really happy with everything looked and felt. Thank you!

Thank you so much to the fabulous Keisy and Rocky for the amazing Images!

A Seville Cortijo for a Destination Wedding

Happy Easter Weekend to you all and what better way to celebrate than to share with you this Blog post ‘A Seville Cortijo for a Destination Wedding’. This fun and colourful Wedding full of love and laughter will brighten your slightly cloudy Easter weekend!

The day you get engaged is a day many of your dreams come true, you have found your true love, the person that fills your heart and soul. From this day forward your life with be lived, loved and celebrated together! Planning your wedding is all about realising your dreams, and when we begin the planning process with you, we work hard to discover what those dreams look like and how we can help you make them real! So when we met Jess and Nathaniel we did our research and discovered that a Seville Cortijo for their destination wedding was completely what their dream was about! The traditional and charming, culturally rich and historical, the heat, the food, the passion…this is Seville, this is Spain and this is why so many of our clients come here to get married! An experience out of the ordinary, a wedding with style and uniqueness, a wedding menu that offers experience, inspiration, excitement and above all a day that says it is yours. Not copied not duplicated, as unique to you as your finger prints!

I loved this wedding from start to finish. To begin with, Jess and Nate are funny and sweet and kind people, I knew right away it would be a positive planning experience with lots of laughs. They dreamed of a relaxed day, personalised; a genuinely heartfelt and enjoyable celebration of their love. It was all about the very closest family, friends and pets…yes, they wanted to bring their little dog along too! I am mad about dogs so could not wait to finally have one at one of our weddings and oh what a cutie little Pickle was!

Mid August in Seville could have been unbearably hot, but luckily we were blessed with a beautiful summers day! Our Venue, has beautiful gardens that offer so much natural shade so even in the August sun you cool always find a cool spot to relax, which is a blessing for any wedding in Spain. The day went perfectly, with a pre-planned schedule for breakfast and Pool attendance the Bride and Groom managed to not cross paths until the key moment of the day! The ceremony, conducted by the fabulous Kurt, was personal, unique and fun, everyone was encouraged to get involved with lead to tears of joy and laughter!

We celebrated their cocktail reception across the two inner courtyards, kept cool by the fountains and greenery; adorned with tropical plants and orange trees the space is tranquil and beautiful! Adding some Spanish spice, we organised a spectacular flamenco show to entertain guests throughout the hour whilst they sipped on their ‘Tinto de Verano’.  A spectacular dinner of Spanish Paella followed with tables adorned with gold teapots jars and candles, topped off with rich coral flowers! The colours were spectacular. The dinner came to a close with some serious belly laughs and the speeches and everyone moved across for the party! A seriously fabulous time was had by all and most important of all Nate and Jess did not stop smiling!

Here’s what our groom had to say:

Creation of the most perfect experience, with wonderful memories that will stay with us for a lifetime. I honestly couldn’t put in to words how Lucy and Jesus made our wedding the most magical, enjoyable and memorable time we could have ever wished for. Every detail was perfect, the engagement process was about getting to know what we are like as people and then through their many years of expertise they channelled that into our crafting our special day. With recommendations, insights on vendors and their pros and cons we couldn’t have wished to be more informed about which choice to make. There is plenty to think about when organising a wedding, but their easy step by step guide meant there was never a need to worry unnecessarily about what to do next or if we had missed something. To use another Company in Spain to organise your wedding would be to do your lifelong memory a disservice. Our guests are still talking about how much they enjoyed our wedding still, so its not just our word that they are superheroes. 10 stars!

Thank you so much to Eloy and Aleksandra from Eloy Muñoz Photography for the gorgeous images.
