Jared and Sarah Travelled all the way from New York with a mix of friends and family from all across the globe for their wedding in Spain. Their dream was to have a relaxed Country house Wedding in Spain. The wedding celebrations began on friday night when Jesus and I had organised a Tapas and Flamenco extravaganza in the beautiful hill top town of Vejer de la Frontera! We chose a venue that oozed authenticity and afterwards the friday night celebrations continued in an open air bar with the most stunning night time views of the village.
Sensibly, Jared and Sarah opted for a 6.30 start to their wedding. Even at this time in Spain it is pretty hot! We organised buses to collect the guests from the village and bring them directly to the venue. On arrival the guests were welcomed with infused water served in our super cool Kilner Jars with colourful paper straws! The service was a very sentimental and meaningful ceremony conducted by a close family Friend. Jared’s father played the fiddle during the ceremony and as the couple exited the guests showered them with luck and love using Olive leaves!
The ceremony space was adorned with hundreds of Sunflowers stylishly arranged by our favourite florist in the local area, Flores La Boheme. This modern take on the sunflower look continued throughout the entire day!
With lots of spanish elements included the cocktail was great fun! We had arranged a Jamon cortador, a traditional olive station served in little terracotta bowls, and a Sherry station offering the 4 most delicious types for sherry!
The day proceeded with lots of laughter and fun, with mixing of cultures from all around. The Canadians from Sarah sang the national anthem and the Jewish guests from Jared’s side initiated The Horah, lifting the bride and groom up above their shoulders on two chairs!
From then on they hit the dance floor and the rest is History! A night, a day, a weekend to remember for eternity!!
Thank you to Mireira Cordomi for the fabulous Images that capture so perfectly the day!
